    Is it possible to have a bunch of <select> dropdowns in html that only display a small (say 10 pixels wide) icon, but when you click it the drop down has a list with the icons beside a descriptive string.     Hi all I have the following 4 arrays ( grouped in 2 groups ) that I would like to merge in ascending order by the keys array. I can use also dictionaries as structure if it is easier. Has python any command or something to make this quickly possible?   • Problem when trying to disappear a column

    I need to hide a column as well as other elements when my page is printed , and in order to do that I have a print style sheet, everything works fine, except for the column I want to make disappear, the strange thing is that my stylesheet works in IE , but it didn't in Mozilla and chrome, why's that? Html code <col width="10%" class="art-editcolumn"/> and here's the CSS class: .art-editcolumn { display: none; } Hope you can help me out with this.

    I'm trying to make sure my Java application takes reasonable steps to be robust, and part of that involves shutting down gracefully. I am reading about shutdown hooks and I don't actually get how to make use of them in practice. Is there a practical example out there? Let's say I had a really simple application like this one below, which writes numbers to a file, 10 to a line, in batches of 100, and I want to make sure a given batch finishes if the program is interrupted. I get how to register a shutdown hook but I have no idea how to integrate that into my application.   • [C++] Is it possible to roll a significantly faster version of sqrt

    In an app I'm profiling, I found that in some scenarios this functions are able to take over 10% of total execution time. I've seen discussion over the years of faster sqrt implementations using sneaky floating-point trickery, but I don't know if such things are outdated on modern CPUs. MSVC++ 2008 compiler is being used, for reference... though I'd assume sqrt is not going to add much overhead though.

    Hello, I have a table containing last_updated_1 and last_updated_2 columns, used respectively for text and images update time on a post. I wish I could get a result set of 10 rows based on all time last updated records contained in the 2 columns, ex. row 1 = last_updated_1 record, row 2 = last_updated_2 record, row 3 = last_updated_1 record, etc. How could I compare inside a MySQL query the both columns values, to get unique & mixed result set ?     Is there a more efficient way than using numpy.asarray() to generate an array from output in the form of a list? This appears to be copying everything in memory, which doesn't seem like it would be that efficient with very large arrays.     consider a tale is as follows, EmployeeId | Name | Phone_Number Now, i insert 10 records... When i query them back, select * from myTable they are not selected in the order i inserted. I can obviously keep an autoincrement index and ORDER BY index. But i dont want to alter the table. How can i do this without altering the table?
